Bug Description

Binary package hint: konqueror

I received this error message after I tried to open Konqueror using "kdesu konqueror". No folder/file icons appeared in Konqueror's window. Also, at the same time some error "kdeinit could not talk to dcop server". A logout/login doesn't work, the only solution I could see was to restart the PC. I'm using Kubuntu Dapper with all the updates on a P4 2800 MHz with 512 RAM. I'm also receiving very often the error with dcop server and "kdeinit could not launch <program_name>".

Are these message boxes or errors in the terminal? The problem went away after you restarted the PC?

Also, what version of (K)ubuntu were you using, and do you still have this problem with latest updates and/or Edgy?

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.
