Bug Description

Binary package hint: kubuntu-default-settings

Currently the only way to access the trash can on kubuntu is via the dolphin sidebar and kickoff. Is that accidently hidden or the entry accidently removed, does it proof difficult to get to the trash.

Thus it should be evaluated if the trash can is indeed visible enough for those that use it (eventually everyone needs to use it every once in a while).

In the past we chucked a trash plasmoid to the very right of the panel. Maybe we should do that again?

Agree with Jonathan. I saw in the forums that users likes a trash plasmoid in the panel.

Since I actually doubt quickaccess' use to the wider public, how about removing quickaccess and add the trash plasmoid?

Shipping the trash as additional plasmoid is making the panel too crowded (again) I am afraid.

Truth be told I've not found the time to really do much with QuickAccess, and it does have at least one fairly easy-to-trigger crash. I would totally not mind seeing it go/demoted to universe.

I also agree, trash should by by default in the panel. Average users get loaded of trashed files after some months, without even knowing they are there. (empirical source: friends trying linux.......)

Don't mind me, just experimenting with the new bug status. Opinion seems to be something that closes a bug, and that's definitely not the right thing to do here...

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Lucid Lynx 10.04 reached EOL on May 9, 2013.

See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Please upgrade to the latest version and re-test.
