Can't change instant messenger in indicator appllet

This bug report is a duplicate of:
Bug #429569: "Evolution Mail" shouldn't appear in indicator-applet when the user has selected a different email application in System>Preferences>Preferred Applications.

Bug Description
In the indicator applet, by the wireless indicator and volume and the like, evolution and empathy are the default for email and IM, you should be able to change those to the email or IM that you use instead of being stuck with having the ones you don't use there.

Hello john,
Thank you for your concern. However, this is not a bug. You can use many other clients, such as Pidgin. In Pidgin, go to Tools -> Preferences --> Show System Tray Icon.
