desktopcouch crashes when trying to copy contacts from Google addressbook to UbuntuOne addressbook in evolution

When I try to copy a number of contacts in my google addressbook in evolution to my Ubuntu One addressbook (that exists by default), I get failure messages saying "Error creating contact (other)" or something to that effect. Shortly after apport alerts me to a crash in desktopcouch service, but cannot report the bug, saying: "Desktopcouch service crashed with assertion failure. Apport does not support reporting these bugs."
