Bug Description

On a current Ubuntu 5.10, the ffmpeg-export from transcode doesn't work.

$ transcode -x vob -i 001 -w 800,50 -F mpeg4 -f 25 -y ffmpeg -o 001.avi
[...]
[import_vob.so] v0.6.0 (2003-10-02) (video) MPEG-2 | (audio) MPEG/AC3/PCM | (subtitle)
[transcode] warning : /usr/lib/transcode/export_ffmpeg.so: undefined symbol: dts_init
[transcode] warning : (dl_loader.c) loading "/usr/lib/transcode/export_ffmpeg.so" failed
[transcode] warning : (encoder.c) loading audio export module failed
[transcode] warning : failed to init export modules
[transcode] critical: plug-in initialization failed

Looks like the package ist at least partly broken, a fix would be really great.

This looks very similar to bug #3964 and bug #3399

could you please tell me the EXACT version number of transcode you are using? Are you on dapper or on breezy?

At the start of the bug the reporter did mention they were using:
"On a current Ubuntu 5.10"
which if I'm not mistaken is breezy.

1.0.1 on Ubuntu Breezy (5.10)

I can confirm that this bug has been fixed dapper. (version 2:1.0.1-0.0ubuntu2).

Providing a backport for breezy is not easy due to the huge pile of unstable libraries providing a only static libs. And since there are other issues with transcode, too, I'm rather focusing on that
