Bug Description

Binary package hint: kopete

After an upgrade to KDE-3.5.4 I can no longer see the special chars of my language. I get something that looks like chinese or korean letters instead.
This manifests in messages coming to me, not to the ones I send.

Messages coming to me looks like this.

"ok, tja det f緳 man juh s輍a, annars fick du det d酺! "

The "f緳" should have been a "får" and the "d酺!" should have been a "där!"

This is still a problem and I'm on Dapper. I will try to install "edgy" under vmware to see if the problem is there too.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

Hi.
Yes, it's still an issue. I'm on edgy now. I'd be happy to provide any information you need.

"Hall. Hur 酺 l輍et? " should be "Hallå, hur är läget".
