Bug Description

"Contact this team's members" feature could be useful, but right now it is a source of spam.
Team membership is used a lot with ACL purposes and that makes that the indirect memberships are growing a lot.

The specific issue that happened to me is that I wanted to contact Xubuntu Testers, to call them to test the RC ISOs for Lucid.

Problem is that there is this chain of memberships:

ubuntu core -> xubuntu devel -> xubuntu team -> xubuntu testers

So, in the end, every member in any of those teams, received the email, when only Xubuntu Testers members were interested in it.

I do not think I I agree with this. ACLs need fixing, not the contact mechanism.

Changed in launchpad-registry:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Triaged

I am marking this as wont fix as we changed the rules so that only team admins can contact members, and they are expected to know who there members are.
