Bug Description

Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

Choosing any one of the Kurdish keyboard layouts from Iraq causes the applet/application to crash.

I found no "iq" (Iraq) file in "/etc/X11/xkb/symbols", probably that is the reason for the crash?

result of xprop -root | grep XKB:
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xorg", "pc105", "de", "", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc105", "de,tr,tr", ",alt,ku_alt", "grp:alts_toggle,compose:menu"

result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd:
 layouts = [de,tr alt,tr ku_alt,iq ku_alt]
 model = pc105
 options = [grp grp:alts_toggle,Compose key compose:menu]
 overrideSettings = true

Hi. You reported this bug some time ago. Is this still a problem for you? Do you get this problem in newer versions of Ubuntu?

Changed in xkeyboard-config:
