Bug Description

Binary package hint: squid

I have squid on my localhost. Each time a network interface changes (e.g. WLAN interruption) I have to manually restart squid to use it.

In Hardy Heron, changing networking setting didn't affect the squid connection.

In Karmic Koala, I had a similar issue. But I solved it by installing bind. Thus after changing DNS settings, bind handled it.

But on Lucid, I have to restart manually.

I have this bug on two computers, both laptops. Thus it is reproducable.

Steps.
1. Set up a blank ubuntu install.
2. Install Squid with the configuration attached.
3. Enter proxy settings in e.g. Firefox.
4. Use the internet connection.
5. Use Gnome network manager to stop network connection.
6. Use Gnome network manager to start a connection (can be the same).
7. Try to access internet. Now connection is interupted.
8. Now restart squid (sudo /etc/init.d/squid restart) (reload does not help).

Hope this helps.
