Bug Description

Install nvidia-glx, and try to run an application that uses features from OpenGL 2.0. When you do, the OpenGL 2.0 features will not be available. An example of this is GL_ARB_fragment_shader (GLSL).

Running glxinfo will give the following as the GL version:

OpenGL version string: 1.4 (2.0.2 NVIDIA 87.62)

The problem is that /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 (symlink) is still linked to /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2 which is owned by mesa. Re-linking /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 to /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.8762 (which is provided by the NVIDIA driver) fixes the problem.

This may be a debian problem and not an EasyUbuntu problem.

nvidia-glx diversions have been fixed long ago, but since I can't pinpoint the exact release, I'll mark this as invalid.
