Bug Description

Binary package hint: autofs5

Hi all,

I'm having a major problem following my upgrade to 10.04 from 9.10: the package autofs failed to install, giving this message (replicated via apt-get upgrade):

The following packages will be upgraded:
  autofs
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/18.1kB of archives.
After this operation, 508kB disk space will be freed.

** In case it's of help, this is what I get when I try to restart autofs:

/etc/init.d/autofs restart
Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service(8)
utility, e.g. service autofs restart

Since the script you are attempting to invoke has been converted to an
Upstart job, you may also use the restart(8) utility, e.g. restart autofs
start: Job failed to start

*** Finally, my auto.master file is as follows:

more /etc/auto.master
# $Id: auto.master,v 1.2 1997/10/06 21:52:03 hpa Exp $
# Sample auto.master file
# Format of this file:
# mountpoint map options
# For details of the format look at autofs(8).
#+auto.master
/var/autofs/misc /etc/auto.misc
/nfs /etc/autofs/nfs rw,intr,rsize=8192,wsize=8192
/nfs/cxc/h6/devans /etc/auto.sshfs uid=10410,gid=10410,--timeout=30,--ghost

Any help greatly appreciated!!
