Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Use Firefox to open this page.
2. Open gedit.
3. Drag the text "中文" to the gedit window. it will become "\u4e2d\u6587"。
Here are some cases:
firefox -> gtk (bad)
gtk -> firefox (bad)
qt -> gtk (good)
gtk -> qt (bad)
firefox -> qt (good)
qt -> firefox (good)

I'm afraid this bug has too many potential targets: in order to get the right people to fix the problem (and there are probably really several individual interoperation problems). It would be helpful to split this bug apart into several distinct bug reports, in each case on the "receiver" of the drag-and-drop (if it turns out to be an error in the "sender", we can change it accordingly).
For example, submit a bug against Gtk for failure to receive a drag-and-drop of the text from Firefox (but, note that I am able to drop it fine, into gvim from vim-gnome; however, vim may well handle things very differently from the Gtk default mechanisms).
