Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunar
Since upgrading to Lucid I cant access Audio CD's using my USB CD drive. it was fine under Karmic.
DVD's and data discs are OK!
My CD/DVD drives shows as a device icon when looking at my Computer however if I insert an audio disk it disappears and nothing else happens!
I originally just upgraded to Lucid but have now done an install from scratch and still have the same problem.
If I boot into Fedora on the same machine it opens and plays Audio CD's as you would expect.
If I look at the disk utility it reports the drive as a Phillips CDRW/DVD CDD5263 Version UD91
Not a very urgent problem as all I do is rip my CD's to the hard drive but slightly annoying none the less.
Thank you for reporting this issue. Unfortunately, we need some more information.
After inserting the audio CD, can you open 'Applications -> Multimedia -> Exaile', then if it exists, click the "Audio Disc" tab, which should be the bottom tab on the left side. Are the audio files listed?
Please attach your ~/.xsession-errors log file after inserting the audio CD.
