Bug Description

Starting orca from menu doesn't work as expected. Process dies after short period of time. I can hear voice asking "Enable echo by word? Enter y or n:", but no visible dialog appears make make this choice.

Launching orca from terminal produces:
$ orca
kill: 190: No such process
Welcome to Orca setup.
Enable echo by word? Enter y or n:

I started one orca process on background. Querying help or trying to run multiple instances produces buggy results:

$ orca --help
kill: 190: No such process
Killed

$ orca
kill: 190: No such process
Killed
Killed
Killed
Killed
.
.

(and heavy cpu usage)

Thanks for your bug report. Could it be that festival is spinning CPU?

This works fine for me in Feisty now. Upstream have made several improvements in this area. Please re-open if you still see this on Feisty.

One remaining quirk is that running 'orca --help' kills an existing Orca session. I've asked on the list about this and will open a bug if it is considered to be one (it's a side effect of the keep alive feature).
