[Lucid] Black screen when trying to resume from sleep

Binary package hint: pm-utils
Suspend to RAM works as expected, but when trying to resume the screen stays black: the login screen doesn't appear. I don't know if my system is running normally with no display or if it simply won't resume at all.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a newer Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 589085 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
