Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
The trash should be located in the places menu, not on the panel. It is (hopefully) not used that much by most users, that it warrants using the valuable space on the panel and the places menu is a logic place for it.

Thanks for your bug. The trash applet takes almost no panel space and is useful, I don't think we want to change it. Rejecting the bug since a bug tracker is not the right place to argue about that, feel free to mail the ubuntu-desktop list about it if you want
