I am experiencing the same problem at startup, as stated in other similar/duplicate bug reports, other mono apps work fine.

This happens with both monodevelop packaged with edgy and a monodevelop compiled myself, it seems the problem is mono related rather than monodevelop related.

The crash still occurs in Feisty.

Removing the directory
MonoDevelop.XmlEditor_0.1.0

from:
~/.config/MonoDevelop/addins

seem to have fixed the problem.

Sorry, I'm not feeling so "comfortable" with bug reporting (I really am a beginner) so, please, take this just as a hint :) Suggestions for improvements are welcome, of course.
