Bug Description
Hi there,
today I tried to install Linuxmint on my Laptop.
(Intel® Pentium® Prozessor T2370 (2 x 1.73 GHz); 2048 MB DDR2; SIS M672 + SIS 307ELV)
But instead of that nice "booting" dots only a black screen with some stripes running from left to right appear. I installed Isadora with the help of an external monitor and X is working fine on my Laptop display now. But on every boot and shutdown, all things, that happen in "Terminal"-View vanish to that running stripes. Also the Terminal View (Ctrl-Alt-F1) are just stripes from left to right.
I tried several bootoptions and asked in the forum: All possible solutions presented did not work:

Unfortunately it looks like this bug report
has not been attended to in quite some time.
In order to establish whether this is a valid
bug or not we will need a response from yourself
indicating that the error is still present today
and reproducable (i.e. not fixed)
