Step one done - make the close event hide the window instead (this'll preserve our content!)

Step two - make hideWindow, showWindow work with user windows.

This also affects Map window that is opened from GUI button on upper toolbar.

Once closed, no amount of clicking on that button will open map window again.

Fixed the problem with the mapper window not opening (also made it hide with the window instead of just displaying a gray window)
