Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktopcouch

The desktop couch service has been running for the last 30mins on my machine flat out. ( I assume it has crashed again ) but there is no way for me to tell what or why it is running. If I do get to the system monitor then beam.smp has very little meaning.

I think there should be a notification icon saying something like "Sync Engine is running" or "Sync Engine is clearing itself up after crash" or "Sync Engine looks to be not responding would you like to restart?".

From a normal user perspective it just looks like things are broken and my laptop is running slow. It either needs to manage itself better or let the user know that it is running so they can manage it.
