Bug Description

It will also crash using 2.7.1 I just thought upgrading might fix the problem.

It's clearly an error in my plugin. Since you are missing all debug symbols I cannot locate the line where the error occurs.

But I'm not sure how to get the debug symbols, maybe I have to build a debug package in my Debian repository. If this is the case I have to take a look how to do this which means that it would take some time.

Please be patient and thanks for your report.

To avoid crashing you could deactivate the "Scan birthdays on this account" option in your account preferences.

Okay, I made it today. Please install the package pidgin-birthday-reminder-dbg and reactivate the "Scan birthdays on this account" option in order to gat a proper debug log.

Thank you. ;)

I guess your birthdays.ics is corrupted. It should look like that one that I attached.

Of course the plugin should not crash, which will be fixed in the next version.

Does you birthdays.ics look weird or does deleting the birthdays.ics fix the issue?

birthdays.ics looked okay, but deleting fixes it for now.
