Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-guidance-powermanager

The power manager takes up a LOT of memory.
At current moment it has:
VmSize: 56 MB
VmRSS: 30 MB

I'm sure that this can be brought down considerably.

If I check how much memory is in use when running power-manager and compare it to the amount used when I just stopped it, I only see a difference of 4 MegaByte.
VmSize and VmRSS are taking usually are a pretty poor tool to measure memory consumption.
