Now, I don't know how helpful my experience is, but I brought this up on Ubuntu Edgy, and it worked fine for me. I was able to use the first test paragraph with no problems whatsoever.

ktouch worked fine for me too on Edgy, using the first paragraph.

If you can remember what you were doing when ktouch crashed, can cause it to crash again, or (best) come up with a series of steps that consistently crashes ktouch, then that would really help the developers.

Jim you may find a complete crash report in /var/crash. If you have one there you dont need to run the backtrace.
