Bug Description

If you try to sync files with more than 100 characters in filename, Ubuntu One fails to sync the files.

The client uploads the files with too long filename to the cloud. You can see and download the files via browser but on other clients it does not download the files.

I tried several files with less than 100 characters in filename successfully. When I tried files with more than 100 characters it fails.
So I believe the magical border is 100.

The syncdaemon.log supports my assumption. Here is an example for one file. If you need the whole log, please contact me:

Please check and fix this bug. Thanks for your efforts

Hello TheGost,

Could you please tell us what file system you have on the $HOME partition of the computer that was downloading the files?

We have tried reproducing the issue on ext3 partition and get_file function was working properly. That function is used to get a filehandle to a temporary file during download.

Also, are you maybe using an encrypted partition?
If you are, it's probably bug #344878.

Used ext4 with ecryptfs. I can't try to reproduce this issue because I have no ext3 partition. Seems like it is a serious ecrypt bug, like Martin said (thanks for the hint).
