Bug Description

Binary package hint: rekonq

I'm using rekonq 0.5.81 in Kubuntu Lucid KDE 4.5.0, but I experienced this with previous versions too (rekonq/kubuntu/kde).
I like rekonq and it's usually very fast but in some webpages it is just the opposite, it's very slow, it seems to me that it hangs up at some point, and after a while it continues and finishes loading the page.

This is the kind of messages I get when I run rekonq in the console:

OpenOffice path before fixup is '/usr/lib/openoffice'
OpenOffice path is '/usr/lib/openoffice'
OpenOffice path before fixup is '/usr/lib/openoffice'

My impression, but I'm not sure, is that rekonq is using the firefox plugins, and there is something there that doesn't work alright. I noticed that this is happening mainly in webpages that include some flash components

Hi
With respect to the loading of pages, rekonq uses the kdewebkit backend to render the page, i would suggest testing this bug on Natty and then reporting it against the kdewebkit component on https://bugs.kde.org/ if the issue still persists.

Changed in rekonq (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

And the other errors look like a issue with flash itself and not rekonq/kdewebkit
