Can't safely remove USB data stick

Bug Description

I can no longer safely remove my USB stick. I select the option but other than the bouncing icon nothing happens.

I cannot pin point any particular incident / upgrade which occured before the 'safely remove' option stopped working.

Can you right click the icon and choose eject it and can you safely remove it than or do you still get the dialog pop up
