Changing profile name results in error: 'Not allowed here'

Bug Description

On my personal details page:
https://launchpad.net/~3-launchpad-net-martijn-coppoolse-com/+edit

I entered a new Name instead of '3-launchpad-net-martijn-coppoolse-com', and clicked the 'Save changes' button.

The page was submitted, but the new page, under the same URL, said the following:

"Not allowed here

Sorry, you don't have permission to access this page.

You are logged in as Martijn Coppoolse."

This means I can't change my own details, which is silly.

I've tried this both with Opera and Chrome, with identical results.

I need to look into possible permission changes to the name field could be blocking you. You certainly should have permission to rename yourself. Can you confirm you can change another field on the page?

I'm experiencing the same bug (see duplicate, sorry for that!) and for me changing the other settings does work.

Changing the other fields works without a hitch. It’s just when I try to change the name that this error occurs.

09/14 - Attempted to change my OpenID login from "baerjj-gmail" to "j.baer" which resulted in the same error.
