Thanks for your bug. Does it happen for that program only or for any application? What version of Ubuntu do you use?

Hello,

thanks for your fast answer.

I use ubuntu 6.06 LST.

I had this problem with anjuta too. At that time the cause was a hassle in my package source list. I didn't have deleted older ubuntu sources (Breezy Badger) from a DVD. When I deleted the older sources and reinstalled anjuta it worked.

But now I have listed only Dapper Drake sources. Coult it be useful to delete the Drapper Drage CD sources too, so that I have only the online sources? (I would wonder if this would help, since all my updates run over the internet).

Best Regards,

Wätzold

Deleting sources or package should make no difference. Does it mean other applications work fine with sudo? What soundcard do you use?

Yes, other applications work with sudo well. For instance here the startup messages of anjuta, which messages the same errors, but which startsup well.

A further Error message happens while system update

BEGIN===============

libgtkmm2.0-dev

that is the (german) message, that the named packages could not be updated, since they recomend the deinstalling of other applications. But neither the given command line comando nor the synnaptic commando make any change.
