Usplash in edgy doesn't fill entire screen

Bug Description

Binary package hint: usplash

I have a monitor hooked up to my machine that can hit 2048x1536. Usplash seems to want to switch to this mode, even though it doesn't have a splash for this resolution. This produces a somewhat undesirable looking splash-in-a-box.

I'm not sure if this issue is because of usplash-theme-ubuntu not providing at this resolution, or usplash for choosing a much higher resolution than needed.

I can confirm a similar problem with 1280x1024 resolution display in the latest edgy - usplash-0.4-31
on a powerpc (mac mini).

I would like to make not of a corrollary. I have a 1440 x 900 on the dell e1405 and my usplash appears to be warped.
