Bug Description

If I run Amarok, I can play music or a feed as long as that is all I do, but as soon as there is another application open or I change desktops, the sound system shuts off.

I am using the latest versions of all packages as supplied in the Edgy Repositories. After installing kdemultimedia-kfile-plugins , kdemultimedia-kio-plugins, kdemultimedia-dbg, and kdemultimedia-dev [which IMOH at least kdemultimedia-kfile-plugins and kdemultimedia-kio-plugins should be installed default] the sound works - it appears that amarok 1.4.3 has the problem.

after latest series of updates, this bug is still in existence on my machine.

Sound works for the first five minutes or so after a fresh boot, once the sound stops ( no error messages, no indication of a crash, sound just stops) it can be restarted in System Settings for a few times but ultimately the arts package no longer outputs.
