sear: merge new debian version

guichan has been uploaded since a week or so, but was first stuck in dep-wait, and then in binary-new. However, it is finally sitting in the archive.

I'm quite confident that sear can be synced from debian. However, I haven't tested this yet.

I have tested in, sear can be compiled and installed but I get the following error when launching it:

Unable to set 640 x 480 video: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Unable to set 640 x 480 video: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

might come from my setup.

I think we should sync and correct this bug after UVF.

Can't be merged yet. Versions of liberis and libvarconf-dev are not new enough in Ubuntu.

the required versions of varconf and eris were built today. sear completely fails to work with the current version. Debian version 0.6.1-1 compiles and installs fine for AMD64.

I'm requestion a UVF exception for this now. Thanks.

sear requires a UVF to sync with the current debian version. The version in Dapper does not work at all, and the last dependencies (eris, varconf) completed sync (with approved UVF) today. This is a diff of the changelog between the last ubuntu version and the current debian version. Please note that all ubuntu changes are related to dependencies and rebuilds.

The attached buildlog shows a successful build with current dapper versions on an AMD64 system.

I tried to make a diffstat, but it only contained four lines, and was obviously incorrect. Suffice it to say that there are a large number of changes all over the source (debdiff produces 56362 lines of output), and that the new version is able to compile, run, and connect successfully to public servers (of which the older version could do none).

diffstat doesn't work with debdiff. diff -ruN old/ new/ | diffstat should be fine.

Can we get the diffstat and (if available) the diff of the upstream ChangeLog?

please don't set uvf bugs to confirmed, that marks the package ready to be processed. we set it to confirmed once all members of motu-uvf agreed updating it.

from looking at the diffstat, the change is too big. however since the current package is really broken, and getting the new upstream doesn't seem to break anything else (no reverse depends), I agree with updating this.
