Bug Description

I'm using Dapper and would like to upgrade to Edgy. I used the suggested way of doing this: gksu "update-manager -c -d".

It fails, so I looked at the log files and found this line:

Reinst Failed because of hplip-ppds

I tried to remove this package (this also removed ubuntu-desktop and foomatic-filters-ppds) but it failed again. The system asks me to report a bug, so here it is.

Confirming, as this bug have the usual requested logs.
Been a long time however, do you know if it affects newer versions?

dapper2edgy no longer supported. Closing as wontfix. Please open a new report if you are still affected by something similar in a later release.
