Bug Description
Uploading to an SFTP server, either locally or ppa.launchpad.net has the uploads hanging after uploading all files.

I see that too. I have the impression it might be a Maverick regression?
Specifically, it seems that the python process is waiting for the sftp (ssh) child to exit, but it is never exiting.
