In Ubuntu 10.04 the modemmanager (network-manager-applet in Gnome) didn't created a high cpu-temperature. With Ubuntu 10.10 i can see how the cpu temperature is rising. In 5 min, when connected, it is rising from 55°C to 74°C and if not connected it is falling in the same time from 74°C back to 55°C. I tried to look with "top" if a process could cause this, but the cpu use is the whole time only at max. 5%.

I had the problem now on Ubuntu 16.04, ModemManager running using one cpu for 10minutes already, after a logout and login with no reboot.
