Bug Description

Binary package hint: gcompris

On the Edubuntu 17 October daily build, GCompris causes a horrible crash that logs me out of my Gnome session.

When using the -x switch, GCompris doesn't switch display resolution, and works as expected.

My display card is a S3 Unichrome card (currently unsupported by Ubuntu), so it uses a vesa driver, which I suspect might be part of the problem.

with the -x option you disable access to the xrandr extension, its likely that this isnt available in vesa

This is also a regression from Dapper. In Dapper, GCompris used to work fine with the vesa driver.

gcompris no longer uses randr and gcompris author says it is vesa rather than gcompris bug so I'm closing the gcompris task

It appears to work full screen with Nvidia drivers and xinerama turned on here. This was the problem that I was having. I opened a bug at the time and it was marked as a dupe of this one.
