Screen goes blank regardless

Bug Description

The screen goes blank regardless of whether 'Activate screen saver when computer is idle' is selected, and does so after about 30 min regardless of the time set on 'Regard the computer as idle after:'

When a full screen app is running the screen saver should not cut in at all.

It sounds like this may be your power management kicking in.

Note that your screensaver and your power management can each cause the monitor to blank. The screensaver usually displays something (flying toasters, etc.) but one setting allows it to simply blank the screen. Power management always just results in a black blank screen; sometimes you can also tell it is on because the monitor's power button switches from green to off or amber.

You can adjust this setting via System->Preferences->Power Management, and then adjusting the settings for the display inactivity timeouts.

Well it's not the screen saver as I have un-installed that. The power management is set to never for both display and computer. So it's either another problem or the power management is not working properly.
