Copyright not asserted in source files

From the decibel source, it appears that the copyright on Inglerest Francois' parts is from 2007.

Shouldn't it be enough to state the authors of the code? Is the year needed for the copyright?

so you mean I should add a copyright date to all the files, right?

What would you say to the following format for the files I didn't touch:

# Copyright (c) 2007 Ingelrest François (<email address hidden>)

And for the files I edited:

# Copyright (c) 2007 Ingelrest François (<email address hidden>)
# Copyright (c) 2010 Jendrik Seipp (<email address hidden>)

Yep, for it's OK. I think that's how it's usually done.
