Bug Description

Whenever I access a site that uses javascript, Firefox crashes.
I disable javascript (which renders most sites unusable) the browser does not crash.
I have a collegue that uses the same version and same release of ubuntu and it works fine.
I upgraded from Dapper (LTS) and I have tried reinstalling firefox and all its dependancies.
I use a browser like opera or epiphany and javascript works fine.
I have reinstalled java as well.

GMail.com after logging on crashes the browser everytime.

Problem solved.

Dont know how the two were related but it was flash causing the browser to crash.
Even when not a flash website. Looking in the plugins directory caused it to crash.
There is a fix on the ubuntu forums page. Search for "flash crash" and there is a line to put in the flashrc file.

Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

Thanks
David
