Gnome menus lack highlighting for Dapper account under fresh Edgy install

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I installed edgy fresh, but with some old /home. New users work okay, but my Dapper user gets no visible highlighting etc when using the menu in the top gnome-panel and some other menus. I click on a menu and can navigate, can see the cursor (an arrow), but I cannot tell which item is highlighted (submenus pop open on mouseover, but I have to guess which item they correspond to). I can even click on items to launch them.

Under Dapper, the menus worked as they ought: when navigating a menu, the menu item with the current focus is highlighted.

I don't know what else to say, yet. I am hoping others are seeing this too?

Thank you for your bug. Do you use a composite manager or something like that? What theme do you use? That works fine for me with an edgy installation

Ah, thanks -- good idea. Yes, the problem seems to be with my theme's making use of "H20-gtk2" for "controls", which seems not to work for me under Edgy. I don't know why that is, but I'll withdraw the bug, unless someone else is interested.

Thanks!
