I get this error when trying to upgrade:

I too experienced this bug when dist-upgrading my sid system this
morning.

Unpacking gimp-data (from .../gimp-data_2.0.2-4_all.deb) ...

Hi,

doing the suggested:

dpkg-i/var/cache/apt/archives/gimp-data_2.0.2-4_all.deb--force-overwrite

also gave me the same errror !!!

But doing:

1) dpkg -i --force-all gimp-data_2.0.2-4_all.deb
2) apt-get -f install

did the trick for me!

I tried the suggested fix for this error:

dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/gimp-data_2.0.2-4_all.deb --force-overwrite

However, it doesn't work. I get:

ac:~:$sudo dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/gimp-data_2.0.2-4_all.deb --force-overwrite
