Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-generic

The speedstep functionality isn't supported by the 2.6.17 kernel
the processor is stuck at the max frequency, and /sys/device/system/cpu/CPU0/cpufreq isn't populated

the 'interesting' part of dmesg follows :
