Bug Description
Binary package hint: ktorrent
As explained in:
http://
there is a problem with ktorrent downloading a few chunks of a torrent improperly, resulting in downloads that never quite have all of the correct pieces. The SVN version does not have this problem, however it is not compiled as an ubuntu package. Until the ktorrent package is upgraded, it cannot be trusted to properly download and upload pieces of files using the bittorrent protocol.

Yes, this is indeed a confirmed bug that only exhibits itself sometimes with the 2.0 series KTorrent releases.
This bug does not happen in SVN, but nobody (not even the developers) knows exactly what change in SVN fixed this bug.
As a result, I am at a loss of ideas as to how to fix this bug... Sorry.
I do have SVN packages available at http:// buntudot. org/people/ ~jdong/ ktorrent/ , but those are experimental in nature.
