Bug Description

Binary package hint: kmix

Plugging a USB headset in and then switching the mixer (either KMix in KDE or Mixer Applet in GNOME) from the sound card to the USB Headset results in no sound.

My workaround ended up being tweaking alsamixer and/or restarting the computer.

The same occurred in reverse when disconnecting the headset. Again, I had no sound from the sound card (after designating the sound card in either of the above mentioned applets.

This version of Ubuntu (Edgy Eft) has reached end of life and is not supported anymore. So we are closing this report. If this is still an issue, can you try with latest Ubuntu release and re-open if needed ? Thanks in advance and don't hesitate to fill any new bug you may find.
