Binary package hint: evolution

Emacs keybindings don't work in the composer of Evolution. By removing the gnome-spell package, Emacs keybindings work as expected.

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? What locale do you use? What keys do you use, what do you expect and what is happening?

Sorry for not being very precise. I use Ubuntu Edgy Eft. The locale is English (United States of America).

I usually use the following keys in other Gnome programs (eg. Epiphany), but they don't work as expected in Evolution:

* Ctrl-a: Should move the cursor to the beginning of the line, but marks the whole text
* Ctrl-e: Should move the cursor to the end of the line, but does nothing
* Ctrl-k: Should kill everything from the position of the cursor to the end of line (without \n), but does nothing
* Ctrl-d: Should delete the next character, but does nothing
* Alt-d: Should delete the next word, but does nothing
