Bug Description

Hi

I would like to request this package already in debian:
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/utils/glipper

It's a clipboard manager similar to klipper but that it only depends on GTK+ 2 and NOT on GNOME libs, so you can also use it with any other window manager that supports tray icons.

Since many apps in gnome doesn't support GTK copy/paste scheme I think it's a nice addition to universe.

Thanks

PS: I'm sorry if this is not the place to request packages to be included from debian in ubuntu, but the motu page pointed to launchpad but didn't specify how to do the actual request.

Hi,

once the merges for feisty start, glipper will get autosynced from unstable, so no further interaction is necessary.

If you believe that it will be a major enhancement to edgy as well, you should assign the bug to the ubuntu backports team, once it has landed in feisty.

Cheers,
    Stefan.
