Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome

First time posting. :-)
SUBJECT: Upgrade from Dapper to Edgy, Logging off current user in Gnome skews monitor at log on screen.

This only happens when I am in Gnome. I log off, and when the log in screen appears again the screen looks all blurry and double side by side, almost like my monitor can not handle the resolution.

When this happens at the log in screen, the "options" icon on the bottom left hand corner of the screen can not be accessed.

If I do log in to Gnome again, and switch the resolutions or frequencies to lower or high settings, it does not resolve problem.

After seeing this, I installed KDE, Afterstep, and ICEWM Window Managers, and I can log in and out between them with no problems as I listed above, only when I log into then out of Gnome.
