Bug Description

Hello,

I attempt to attach the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keyboard shortcut to the 'Log Out' window by opening the Keyboard Shortcuts applet and assigning <Control><Alt>Delete to the 'Log out' entry. I then close the Keyboard Shortcuts window to ensure that this new hot key is activated (although this should not be necessary).

If I then press Ctrl+Alt+Delete (ensuring that I use the left Alt key), no Log Out window appears. I tried assigning Shift+4 to this action with no success. I can replicate this behaviour on two different machines.

If I minimise all windows, select an icon on the desktop and then press the designated hot key, the selected icon flashes; this suggests that at least something is happening.

I have the same problem. No key combination works for Log Out.
Everything else is alright, but Log Out :(

This functionality worked perfectly for me on Dapper, but no key combination for log out works on Edgy or Fiesty.

Same problem here. I've by now pulled all my hear out about finding a solution myself. I also upgraded to feisty, in the hope that it would (finally) fix this annoying problem, but it didn't. I even switched to Kubuntu as I really miss this keyboard shortcut (although I'm not sure whether I like KDE over Gnome).

I can also confirm that the problem occurs on both the x86 & AMD64 version (as expected).

I think the problem was solved for Gutsy, and it is certainly fixed on Hardy and Intrepid.
