Could not put applications to autostart in gnome-session-properties

Bug Description

Hi all!!

When I open my gnome-session-properties and put some application to autostart in the last tab that is "Programas Iniciais" for me (My Ubuntu is PT-BR language) and that may be something like "Initial Programs" in english it is not been writed to ~/.config/autostart.

I looked at autostart folder under .config and it's owned to root:root

Is it only happening with me?

I changed the owner for my user and group (ronaldo) on autostart folder and it worked.

Is there any problem that can be fixed on ubuntu installation or it only ocurred with me?

I have had the same problem.
Also the same solution.
This was the output when I ran the program from the terminal:
willem@bmt-nb83:~$ gnome-session-properties

** (gnome-session-properties:6053): WARNING **: Could not save /etc/xdg/autostart/update-notifier.desktop file

** (gnome-session-properties:6053): WARNING **: Could not save /etc/xdg/autostart/evolution-alarm-notify.desktop file

** (gnome-session-properties:6053): WARNING **: Could not save /usr/share/gnome/autostart/gnome-power-manager.desktop file

** (gnome-session-properties:6053): WARNING **: Could not save /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-volume-manager.desktop file

** (gnome-session-properties:6053): WARNING **: Could not save /etc/xdg/autostart/beagled.desktop file

The solution was as posted above the change ownership of the directory.

Thank you for your bug. That's not a problem with gnome-session-properties, if you figure what you do that changes the ownership for your user autostart directory open a bug on it to stop doing that
