Firefox crashes when accessing certain HTTPS site

Bug Description

Using Firefox 1.5.0.8 or Firefox 2.0 on Ubuntu Edgy, I can repeatedly hang the FF application and be required to "force quit" (kill) it by accessing this URL: https://apcss.rio-net.org/ and proceding through the SSL non-matching certificate warnings.

FF works ok with other sites using the same certificate, e.g. https://rio-net.org/.

There are some other circumstances (tabs open? previous navigation?) that must be involved, as I just tried it once more (after 3 repeatable crashes), and this time it worked.

Thanks for the report.

I was unable to reproduce this myself so if you figure out what the other circumstances are please include them. If you could also install firefox-dbg and obtain a crash report that would be useful too.
