Thank you for your bug. Do you open the message or just use the preview pane? What attachement button do you use to store it, the one on top or below the text? Do you have any error on the command line (when you start evolution from there) after getting the bug? Does it happen every time you do those steps? Does it happen with any mail?

In response:
* I did use the preview pane;
* I did use attachment button that one on top;
* I didn't open Evolution on a terminal and I didn't use the comand
line;
* This occured only once. I will trial to reproduce this again.

Thanks.

This may be related to a problem I'm having -- if not, let me know if this should be a separate bug report. New in Edgy, the preview window often gets stuck on a particular message (or sometimes with no contents at all), and no amount of changing folders or changing messages or opening and closing messages makes any difference -- the preview window is just stuck. I'm also getting fairly regular crashes.

Stopping and starting evolution usually, but not always, fixes it for a short while.

I have an unverified hunch that message previews with certain combination of images -- perhaps hyperlinked images -- cause the problem.

If you run evolution from a command line do you have any warning printed on it when you get that sort of problem. What does the status bar is writting when that happens? What sort of account do you use? If that's a network one (imap by example), do you have a reliable network? Evolution might be sensible to issues on the network
